Beauty Tips

There are no official guidelines in place when it comes to natural beauty products, but organic ones must adhere to strict regulations. In fact, the United States Department of Agriculture has a National Organic Program that states that the word “organic” can only be used on labels for products that are raw or agriculturally processed. These standards also ensure that certain ingredients cannot be used in the products, such as pesticides and chemical fertilizers.

Organic products may be packaged with four different types of labels, depending on their specific contents. Products with labels that say “100% organic” must be composed entirely of these types of ingredients. Labels that say “organic” or “certified organic” are on products that contain at least 95% of these ingredients. Beauty products that have labels stating “made with organic ingredients” contain at least 70% of these ingredients. Although the word “organic” appears on these labels, the products do not carry the official seal from the United States Department of Agriculture. Finally, labels that state “less than 70% organic” cannot list any of these types of ingredients on the front panel; they must be listed on the back with the other ingredients.

When seeking organic products, you want to stay away from those that have formaldehyde, xylene. and octylphenol. These ingredients should not be found in any beauty product that is certified as organic, because they can cause harm to your body. Xylene, for example, can irritate skin and can cause liver damage. Formaldehyde has been known to cause asthma, eye irritation, and headaches.

There are specific brands of beauty products that are certified organic. These brands include The Organic Pharmacy, Green People, Organic Botanic, and Lavera. Most of these products can be purchased in health food stores or department stores, and all of them can be purchased online. Organic essential oils, distilled from pesticide-free plants, are available for people who practice aromatherapy.

There are many benefits to using organic beauty products. The main benefits of using organic products as opposed to non-organic ones are that the former are healthier for your body and better for the environment as well. Another positive aspect of using organic products is that they help to keep independent farms in business. Organic beauty products are also extremely beneficial for those with sensitive skin. The bottom line is that true organic beauty products do not have any preservatives in them at all.

Skin Care And Effective Beauty Tips

Basic principles of natural skin care are instrumental in the prevention of bacterial and fungal infections. Perspiration and maceration of intertriginous areas, particularly in obese individuals, set the stage for candidal and fungal invasion. Maintaining clean, dry skin is helpful in avoiding infection. Despite the many disorders affecting the skin, only a few measures aid in their prevention but aside from that it also has a factor in preventing the aspect of aging. However, they can be easily done especially if you learn about the benefits.

The basic objective of bathing normal skin is to remove excess oil, perspiration, and dirt and to avoid odor. The frequency of bathing is determined by the individual, however, bathing too frequently can cause dryness or irritation, accompanied by pruritus and flaking skin. Adequate hydration of the skin is very important in maintaining skin integrity. Bathing only as necessary and application of creams or lotions after bathing may be helpful in maintaining proper hydration.

Beauty tips also include the care of the hair and nails. Because of the high concentration of sebaceous glands in the scalp, the hair contains oils that may intensify conditions, such as seborrheic dermatitis and acne that erupt on the scalp, face and neck. The hair should be kept clean and away from the face or neck of these areas is affected. Nails harbor a large number of bacteria. Nails should also be cut short to avoid trauma to the skin.

Just as a well-balanced diet is essential for optimal health of the body as a whole, a well-balanced diet is necessary for the health and the functioning of the skin. Appropriate quantities of protein, carbohydrates, and fats from the various food groups provide the skin with the nutrients needed to maintain its integrity. Balanced nutrition provides the body with the essential vitamins and minerals important for natural skin care. Deficiencies or excesses of nutritional requirements place the individual at increased risk for skin disease.

Stress is a common denominator in many disorders involving the organ systems. Regardless of the cause, increased emotional stress may lead to exacerbations of cutaneous disorders or may even be instrumental in their development. Factors that provoke skin changes or disorders need to be identified and avoided. Alterations of lifestyle, such as judicious exposure to sunlight or change of work, may be required. Incorporation of stress management into one’s lifestyle aids in the severity of skin outbreaks.

A daily dose of exercise also helps in the proper body circulation which aids in the natural glow of the skin. By just jogging or even walking for a few minutes, you will be able to maintain a healthy and younger looking skin. It does not only have an effect on your skin but on your general health to keep your cells energized and always on the go.

These are the measures that you can do in order to prevent any skin diseases and thus maintain a healthy skin. It is good for your physical health and at the same time boosts your self-confidence.

Beauty Tips and Products

Our skin is the only protection we have from the elements and should not be treated poorly; some simple changes to your skin care regime which you will learn here will make all the difference. Unfortunately many women still feel that the only way they will achieve that beauty is by using invasive techniques like liposuction and plastic surgery for instance. But more natural beauty care products are the order of the day now and whilst they may take a little longer to produce results, they are longer lasting and have other health benefits.

When we think of beauty care products for the skin we typically picture cold cream and anti-aging formulas but there are countless items that promote healthy, youthful skin and these may be some of the most important beauty care products on the market. We often forget that our skin is an organ that needs looking after as it has a difficult job to and needs regular help.

Skin care needs to be carried out in the right order so step one is to cleanse the skin of all the contaminants that attack it everyday. This part must be carried out with a quality face cleanser placed on a cotton pad moved in a circular pattern then washed with clean warm water, drying with a soft towel but take care not to rub the skin when you do this.

Applying toner rids your skin of any excess cleanser and restores your skins natural PH balance. Once you have completed this step you will need to moisturize the skin with a cream or lotion as this will return its glow and make it supple. By using this beauty care product it will help lock in the moisture something which helps to maintain the skins beauty and condition.

As a regular aspect of your skin care regime you should use a natural peel or exfoliant once or twice a week which helps remove dead skin which can clog the pores. Once you have exfoliated; a normal cleanse and then tone will be necessary as part of the process.

For those people that suffer with puffy or baggy skin below the eyes, formulated beauty care product creams are able to help alleviate this problem making the skin much suppler and improving its elasticity. Often forgotten, water is an important aspect that provides many beneficial properties to help the skin, like hydration and removing unwanted toxins. It is not a good idea to forget the important role our skin plays in our overall health and of course how we look so taking care of it is not just about vanity.

Mind Matters

Last but not the least; you just can’t glow unless its heart felt. So, the best beauty tips include doing something you enjoy whenever you can. Always take a break, chat with friends, forget your worries, set your mind free and just watch the wonders.

Tips For the Mind and Body

The following tips cover some of the basics to get you off to a good start the first three look at some foundation principles.

1. Clarity– know what you want for yourself otherwise how do you know that you are getting there? Live in the question “what do I want?” Consider putting together a vision board to help start the process and put it somewhere prominent where you will see it every day to keep you focused on what you want.

2. Get Honest – be real with yourself, as hard as it is to take a look at ourselves, first really acknowledge what isn’t working (and you don’t have to share this with anyone) journaling is often a good way for some to get things out. I personally feel journaling is a chore but what I sometimes find helpful is just to write and write – this is called automatic writing and it allows your unconscious mind to access deep insights, feelings, wants and needs and can be therapeutic. Other things I find helpful are talking things out with people who are skilled listeners. Sometimes we just want to be heard and understood – not given advice or others experiences and someone not involved often can see more clearly.

3. Identify changes you want to make– so if you know what you want what are you currently doing that doesn’t fit with that? Take a look at those things, either emotional, physical and decide what isn’t serving you anymore and consider removing these from your life. Or if you need help seek it out. Sometimes this can feel a bit overwhelming so to help with this start with the most important and forget the rest for now. Be in a place of trusting yourself, that you will find what you need and have clear intention about what kind of help you want. Once you are clear start taking some action and you might be surprised what starts showing up in your life to support you (eg. Do some research, look on the internet, speak with friends, maybe go to your local bookshop and check out some of the shelves, follow up on hunches and feelings that you have had.

4. Getting unstuck– whenever we feel stuck, it reflects back in our life. It creates a stagnant energy and sometimes changing things can feel daunting or just plain too much like hard work. So consider clearing out any physical, emotional clutter you might have. When I feel like this I often take a look at what my body is telling me and if it is out of synch then I had better pay attention. A detox, bowel cleanse or juice fast are a few choices. Even just going to have a colonic irrigation can help to unblock things literally, you will feel lighter, probably more energy and your thinking will be clearer, plus you will be giving your digestion a boost. Clearing out physical clutter is also another way to move more vibrancy and energy into your life, how about chucking out those old clothes, or that pile of paperwork or magazines that you never get round to reading but keep staring up at you. Sometimes it is just about starting with something small and it often builds momentum, you may not have it all figured out but start anyway.

5. Time for TLC – self care is a cornerstone activity that often slides when life gets busy. All those demands, too little time often means we get lost in the rush to achieve and get things done. Try to carve our sometime for yourself even if it is just an hour a week. Use that time to decompress and decide how to reschedule things so that you can give yourself more me time and get some of the focus back onto you and what is important. Think about scheduling activities well ahead that you keep putting off e.g. weekend away, bubble bath, massage, spending time with a good friend.

6. Check what you are putting in your body and mind: how about giving yourself a break from the doom and gloom, avoid all negative media for a least a week and see how that feels, that includes TV, radio, internet and unnecessary emails and phone calls. Remove as much junk food from your meals (this is not a diet just take out the rubbish) and see how you feel, commit to snacking on e.g. fruit you actually like between meals – if apples are boring then buy e.g. strawberries if that is what you REALLY enjoy why make it tough.

7. Get inspired – commit to getting some fresh air out in the open a least a few times a week. Every day might be a stretch. Look at it as a time for you, and maybe your partner – oxygen helps to clear our minds and feeds the brain, a change of scenery often provides inspiration and new ideas and energy. Consider what you are passionate about and start journaling your ideas about it. It’s not about adding to your to do list, just getting in contact with more of what motivates and enriches your life.

8. DeStress – one really useful way to physically de-stress is to increase your magnesium and B vitamins levels. A large part of the population is deficient in magnesium and this is one reason why women in particular crave chocolate (apart from the sugary high and other properties that create good sensations for us) as chocolate contains it. If you want chocolate then buy the best and highest quality cocoa % dark chocolate. Magnesium also helps to improve sleep and therefore it is better taken later in the day, make sure you are taking the most absorbable form though. B vitamins are often depleted with stress so topping these with a B complex can help with a sense of coping better.

9. Start with easy things– every morning first thing I have a cup of hot water and lemon juice. This helps my digestion, keeps me regular, and helps the body stay alkaline. When our bodies are acidic, and lots of things produce this e.g. red meat, alcohol, junk foods, stress, it makes it hard for our bodies to work efficiently as it wants to be in balance, so give it a good start. The more alkaline we are the less weight we are likely to carry. Fat is often stored to protect vital organs and activity from acidic conditions and toxins.

10. Celebrate the ordinary – being grateful for the small achievements can be powerful. Celebrate the ordinary things that you achieve. Here is a small example, I had been meaning to update my driving licence for (dare I say many years) this was due to moving house many times. I recently applied for it, which took quite a bit of paperwork because some of my ID was missing and needed confirming due to it being previously lost by another organisation. This tiny little thing had been at the back of my mind for a long time, when it finally arrived it felt SO good! I know, I know I’m easily pleased. But I wonder what you are carrying around too? When I spoke with my friend about it we both acknowledged that celebrating the ordinary is an important building block for how we feel about ourselves day to day. I invite you to consider what you are celebrating in your life about yourself?

It’s a positive cycle and the first step is to proactively take care of yourself. Here are 10 health and beauty tips to help you do just that.

  1. Find a few minutes in the day to do various exercises. You might take the stairs at work; you might do facial exercises in the office when no one else is around; you might do upper body exercises in the evening in front of the TV.
  2. Pack your lunch instead of eating a restaurant. You can make healthier choices at a lower cost by doing this. Don’t forget the vegetables! Although the restaurant seems like a faster and more convenient choice, in the long run it isn’t. You won’t look or feel as good compared to eating a balanced lunch regularly.
  3. Take regular moments to de-stress. Tension builds up and tightens the muscles in our face and neck. When that happens, you tend to grimace and, in the long run, get wrinkles. Periodic “de-stressing”, which may include a brief self-massage of the face and neck with your fingertips, can help.
  4. Stretching. You don’t hear much about this but you WILL feel great if you regularly stretch. Make it a point to stretch as many muscles as you can. Start with your feet and work your way up. You may not always have time for a nap but a quick and vigorous stretch can do amazing things.
  5. Drink plenty of water. Staying hydrated is an underrated but critical way to stay healthy. You will feel better, think clearer, eat less, and have younger skin as a result. The doctors say eight glasses a day as a minimum. Incorporate water-drinking into your regular activities to make sure you get it all.
  6. Multivitamins. Even eating balanced meals doesn’t always give women the calcium or iron they need. Multivitamins can help correct this. Consider multivitamins to be an investment into your long term health.

These tips will improve your health and beauty and they take only moments of your day. Make sure you follow them every day and you will feel better and look younger.

Natural beauty uses the products of the earth to take care of your body. This extends to more than just your face. A long time ago, many civilizations used extracts from plants and fruits to enhance their features. The same thing they put into their bodies they also put onto their bodies.

What was true then is also true today. You can maintain your body naturally by watching what you do to it and for it. Take a look at the following tips to help you accomplish that task.

1. You are what you eat. Instead of hitting the fast food joint, have a meal made with fresh ingredients in your own home. Fresh foods contain more of the minerals and vitamins the body needs to repair itself on a daily basis. Your digestive and other body systems will function more efficiently when given the proper fuel.

2. Enhance your features with mineral makeup. Mineral makeup uses natural earth minerals to bring color to your face without looking made up. Choose mineral makeup without talc, clay or bismuth oxychloride to avoid clogged pores and skin irritations. Mineral makeup provides foundations, blushes, bronzers and eye colors in a variety of shades to fit all skin tones. Because these are naturally occurring minerals, their properties work to improve skin health.

3. Play to your strengths. Concentrating on improving your weaknesses is not a good idea. You have been endowed with natural talents and your time is better spent practicing in those areas. Through your strengths you can bring something new to the world that will benefit your life and that of others.

4. Love your body. Part of looking beautiful is to believe that you are beautiful. You are the only you that has ever been created or ever will be. As a unique being, you have something to offer others around you. Your inner beauty comes from gaining confidence in who you are inside and out. Don’t let society dictate how you should feel.

5. Exercise. Take care of your body and it will take care of you. Exercise brings certain strength to your life. As your body gets stronger your mind and spirit will follow. Also, physical activity releases endorphins which improve mood and concentration. You will be ready to face any situation with confidence.

6. Find your faith. Why do you go on each day despite setbacks and problems? Finding a higher power to believe in gives you a purpose in life and shapes your character. When you have a set of principles to follow you have something to shore you up and keep you joyful and thankful each day.

7. Live boldly. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. If you have your mind set on a task, there is a way to achieve it. Even if you don’t succeed in your quest, you have discovered something about yourself that will help you in the future.
