Healthy Beauty Tips For a Beautiful You

To be healthy is to be beautiful. Taking care of yourself on the inside reflects how you look on the outside. Give your body nutritious, healthful food and exercise to keep your muscles strong and lean and you will feel and look fantastic.

So many of us shy away from exercise because we don’t know where to start. Gyms can be intimidating and we lack the initiative to begin our own program. It doesn’t have to be hard! Exercise is essential to well being. It not only strengthens and tones the body, but it relaxes the mind and relieves stress. Taking a half hour to an hour for you each day to work out is incredibly worthwhile. Start a walk-to-run program, either on your own or through a clinic. You’ll be amazed how quickly your body will respond to running! Your legs tone up, your posture changes and your cardio health improves rapidly.

Not a fan of running? Yoga is a wonderful way to invest your workout time. It can be physically challenging or easy and relaxing, depending on the type of class or DVD you choose. Yoga also helps quiet and focus the mind, something we don’t take enough time to do in our busy lives. A little mental time out can do wonders for lowering our stress level. An excellent health and beauty tip: give bikram or “hot” yoga a try. It’s a strenuous workout, and the heat causes you to sweat out toxins and impurities. Great for the body, great for the skin. It’s addictive!

The added benefit of exercise is that it makes you want to eat better. Why negate all that hard work by making poor food choices? Eating well is key to looking and feeling as good as you can. Making fruits and vegetables the mainstay of your diet will give your body fibre, vitamins, and minerals. Because they’re also full of water, they fill you up and keep your calorie intake lower. Keeping your sugar intake low benefits your skin as well. Many experts agree that sugar causes wrinkles! Watch out for sneaky sugar sources too, like pop, juice and refined carbohydrates – white bread, white rice and pasta.

A tip for both improved health and beauty is to include antioxidant rich foods into your diet, every day. These foods lower the risk of cancer and help reduce the visible signs of aging. Some of the best anti-oxidant rich foods include berries like blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, kidney beans and apples, all foods high in vitamin C and E. What do antioxidants do, anyway? Without getting in to too much detail, they work to prevent and neutralize oxygen damage to our cells. They effectively slow the aging process, both internal and external. Start adding antioxidant and vitamin -rich foods into your diet today, and reap the health and beauty benefits for the rest of your life!

Best Beauty Tips

To make sure you look your best, and improve the beauty regime you follow, there are many professional beauty tips you can use. According to Allure magazine that even the most beautiful people can have bad hair, makeup or skin occasionally. The following best beauty tips, from skin care experts, hair stylists and makeup artists, will make sure that you can avoid even one such day!

Eye Shadow

Robert Jones, author of “Makeup Makeovers Expert Secrets for Stunning Transformation”, says that while choosing eye shadow, every woman should go for shades that go well with their eye’s natural color. For that, it is important to choose a shade that is dramatically opposite to their eye color in a color wheel. For example, those with blue eyes should choose soft peaches and warm browns. Those who have grey eyes, one of the best beauty tips for them is to use purples and cool browns while those with green eyes should make them prominent by using deep purples, deep peaches and golden browns. But it is the girls with brown eyes who are the winner, according to Jones, as they can wear any shade!

Lipstick

One of the best beauty tips for those with thin lips, according to Jones, is using a light colored lipstick. For those with fuller lips, the lipstick can be both dark and light shades. To start with, first fill your lips with a natural toned lip pencil and then apply a small amount of concealer on the bottom and top lips. This will make the area look light after lipstick is applied on it giving it a fuller and pouty look. To complete the look, add a dash of shimmery, light lip gloss.

Hair Care

Shampooing every other day is an important step for keeping your hair looking good, according to Allure. The shine of your hair and its health depends on the natural oils of your hair. Before you put your shampoo on your hair, drench it thoroughly. Make sure to rub the shampoo on the scalp as that will make sure the ends are not drying up. The best beauty tips for hair care is using coldest water possible for rinsing the shampoo off as that closes the cuticle and produces shinier hair.

Skin Care

One a week, every woman should use a hydrating face mask, according to Mzia Shiman who is a professional facialist. To draw moisture to the skin, use a face mask that has hyaluronic acid. Women who are over 40 should get facial done less often because the oil production of their skin slows down at this age which means blocked pores are not that much a problem as it was in their younger years. Instead, Allure magazine continues, the best beauty tip for them is using salicylic acid based cleanser for keeping their skin clear.

Some Fashion and Beauty Tips

Women are always sensitive about how others view them. If you are a woman, I am sure you are going to agree with me. That is why I have decided to write this article to help you out. I hope that you will learn some useful beauty and fashion tips from this article.

Tip 1: Your Friends Know You Best

Obviously, when it comes to fashion, you do not want to go to the wrong person for advice. If Peter is someone who dresses sloppily all the time, it is probably not a good idea to take his advice seriously.

When it comes to fashion advice, you want to look for someone who practices what he or she preaches. So you want to look for friends who are dressing decently.

Your friends have known you for a long time. They will be able to give you some really good advice. All you have to do is to ask and I am pretty sure they will be very keen to share their wisdom with you.

Tip 2: Wear Mini Skirt If You Have Great Legs

If you have the assets, don’t be afraid to flaunt it. If you don’t do it while you are still young, you will no longer have the chance when you grow old.

For example, if you have a pair of long and smooth legs, don’t be afraid to wear mini skirt. Some men love legs. If your boyfriend or husband happens to be a ‘leg’ person, why not wear mini skirt to seduce him. He will probably become very sweet to you. This may also be a great way to spice up your sex life.

Tip 3: Health Is Important

No matter how beautiful you want to look, health should never be compromised.

For example, it is probably not a good idea to do a breast implant as you never know whether it will lead to any side effects in the future. It is probably better to wear a push up bra if you want to ‘enhance’ your assets when you are meeting a guy you like.

Of course, the choice is yours. However, you should be aware of the fact that ‘big’ does not necessary means ‘good’. You may be surprised that many men actually love small and natural.

Tip 4: Simple Is Good

Fashion is just fashion! Fashion is not your life. You don’t have to follow fashion all the time and get yourself stressed up. Sometimes, simplicity is the best.

For example, if you are cooking with your boyfriend, there is no point wearing the most expensive dress and putting on makeup. You will do better just by wearing a simple t-shirt and jeans.

Health and Beauty Tips for Your Brass

Did you know that the health and beauty of your brass instruments require extra special attention? It’s true-their well being and happiness depend upon it. While we’re not talking about putting your tuba on a weight-loss program or taking your trumpet to the spa for a makeover, you do need to treat your brass instruments with care or they’ll refuse to come out and play. So, grab that brass and get ready for a workout-it’s time to clean!

When was the last time you saw a dirty French Horn in the orchestra? Probably never, right? That’s because professional musicians know how to take daily, monthly, and yearly care of their instruments. Now’s your chance to do the same! Starting with daily care, follow these tips to maintain the health and beauty of your brass.

Note: Because brass instruments vary, be sure to learn the specific cleaning methods for your particular instrument. For example, rotor instruments like the French horns, rotor tubas, and rotor trombones should always be cleaned by an experienced repair person.

Once a week, lubricate the valves on your brass instrument. Simply unscrew the valve cap and draw out the valve half way. Using the appropriate lubricant, apply a drop of valve oil to the widest part of the valve. Then, press the valve back to its original position. The valves on most brass instruments have a “guide” that helps you to line up the valve. Most often, you’ll hear a *click* when you’ve got the valve perfectly aligned.

If you play a brass instrument, you know what happens after a good session of blowing. You know, “moisture” can build up inside of your instrument. If it’s not removed, this moisture can do a real number on the health of your instrument. To be sure you’ve removed all moisture from your instrument after you’re done playing, you’ll want do a final blow with the water keys opened. This should help to keep the insides of your instruments happy and dry.

No Fingerprints Please

To keep your brass shining, be sure to wipe down the outside of the instrument after each use. This will help remove oils and perspiration left by your hands.

To spare your brass from unsightly “bruises,” be sure to always store your instrument in its case when its not being used. Doing so will not only spare your brass from damage, but it’ll also keep your instrument clean. Remember, your instrument case is for your instrument; storing music books, cleaning supplies, or even your lunch inside the case can lead to all kinds of problems with the slides or valves of your instrument.

Once A Month It’s Thorough Internal Cleaning Time

To do this, you’ll need to take your brass apart completely. You’ll also need some supplies, including cleaning brushes, liquid soap, slide grease (if your instrument has slides), and valve oil. If you’re not comfortable with any of these steps, take your instrument to a music shop for a professional cleaning to keep it in tip top shape.

Head to your bathroom or kitchen sink and get ready to get dirty!

  1. Remove all slides, valves and valve bottom caps and place them, except for the valves, in warm, soapy water. Soak the parts in the water for 10 minutes
  2. As your parts are soaking, run warm water over your valves and use the valve brush to brush out all openings. Give your valves a good shake to remove excess water and let dry
  3. Depending on your type of instrument, you’ll want to brush all its tubes and compartments as well as the valve casings
  4. Rinse the entire instrument with warm water and be sure to wipe off any excess moisture with a soft cloth. Before moving on to the next step, you’ll want to make sure your instrument is completely dry
  5. If your instrument has slides, apply a little slide grease to each and put back together reassemble
  6. Replace the valves and apply a drop of oil on each to lubricate. Most valves are numbered, so be sure to put yours back in the correct location

Beauty Tip – Home-Made Lemon Skin

Packed with sunshine lemons are bursting with health benefits. Just the thought of them makes your mouth water and their refreshing fragrance lifts your spirits. Everyone knows the benefits vitamin C rich lemons have on the body but few know their cosmetic properties. For centuries women have used lemons to cleanse, tone and condition their skin. As a natural antioxidant they combat the signs of aging by helping to stimulate collagen production. The cosmetics industry uses lemons to produce a range of skin care preparations, but they are expensive. You can make lemon rich cosmetics at home cheaply and easily using items from your kitchen store cupboard. Here’s how.

Cleansing should always be the start of your skin care regime. To make a facial scrub mix together equal parts of lemon juice, oatmeal and honey. Add water until it becomes a runny paste. Store this gentle cleanser in the fridge and used every day to clean and condition your skin. To use take a small amount in the palm of your hand and moisten with a little warm water. Rub your hands together until evenly distributed, scrub your hands gently over your face paying attention to the creases at the sides of your nose and mouth or any oily patches. When finished use the excess to scrub the backs of your hand, then rinse your face and hands with plenty of warm water. Pat dry with a soft towel. This cleanser is cheap enough to use as a body scrub before a bath or shower.

Use lemon juice to tone the skin after cleansing. Try this recipe. Take two tablespoons of lemon juice, one tablespoon of vodka, one tablespoon of witch hazel and two tablespoons of water. Pour into a bottle and shake well, store in the fridge and use as needed. Apply to skin with a cotton wool pad and leave for three to five minutes. Rinse the face with warm water and pat dry with a towel. Do not use on damaged skin as it will sting.

After cleansing and toning use moisturizer. Make a simple and inexpensive moisturizer by blending together equal amounts of honey, lemon juice and oil. Sweet almond oil is a nice luxury but you don’t need to use it olive oil is fine. Put into a bottle and shake until all ingredients have blended together. Dab on face and neck with cotton ball, use the tips of your finger to massage into skin in small upwards circular movements. Rinse with warm water and pat dry with soft towel.

Condition your skin with a weekly mask treatment. Squeeze a lemon into a cup of warm milk and stand till curdled. Put two tablespoons of oatmeal and a tablespoon of oil into a bowl and add the curdled milk, stir well. The mixture must runny enough to spread on the skin but not too runny that it slides off. Smear on your face, neck, hands, legs and feet and leave for half an hour. Rub excess off with clean towel and shower or bathe in usual way. This mask will improve pimples and the overall condition of your skin. Use this preparation to soften the skin on cracked heels and aid healing.

Home made skin care products are not just inexpensive alternatives to off the shelf cosmetics. You are in control of the ingredients. You know where you bought them and how old they are. You can choose to use organic, eco-friendly or fair traded products and you can even make sure they were not produced by child labour.

Must-Read Beauty Tips

1. To remove stubborn eye makeup, first saturate a cotton square (its less abrasive than a cotton ball) with an oil-based remover and press over eyes for 30 seconds. Gently wipe away and then rinse face with your regular cleanser.

2. Never go a full day or night without washing your face.

3. To tone down redness of face/pimples, drink a glass of ice water and spritz a small amount of nasal decongestant on the blemish, if one’s there.

4.Moisturize and apply lip balm within 2-3 minutes of showering to keep your skin soft and healthy.

5. Always make sure you have good lighting (preferably sunlight) while applying makeup.

6.If you don’t feel like putting on a lot of makeup, dust cheeks and eyelids with bronzing powder for a fantastic natural glow.

7. For extra-thick lashes, dust lashes with translucent powder, then apply mascara.

8.Metal nail files can be too harsh on your nails; go for crystal or cardboard files instead.

9. To make your nails dry faster after you’ve painted them, run them under cold water when they’re partially dry.

10. To get rid of nail stains, dab whitening toothpaste onto your nail beds.

11. You have to feel pretty in order to be pretty. Makeup will do nothing for you if you do not feel pretty on the inside. Remember confidence looks good on anybody.

12. When playing up your eyes, remember to balance your overall look by toning down lip color and vice versa.

13. When putting on eye shadow colors like blue, green, purple, and pink, don’t cover the entire eye area unless the colors are light.

14. Put a dot of gold or silver eye shadow at the inner corner of the eye to really make your eyes pop.

15. Never repeatedly pump your mascara wand in and out of the tube. The action dries out the mascara and often loads too much mascara onto the brush which can make your lashes look goopy… not something we want to happen!

16. For women with fine eyelashes, fire up the ka-pow by putting dark eyeliner pencil in between each lash to bring out their full potential.

17. If your skin becomes a bit oily throughout the day, use a tissue to soak up any shine; if necessary, lightly apply some pressed powder for a velvety soft finish.

18. Always make sure you thoroughly blend bronzer, concealer, face powder, etc.

19. Play up your eyes by smudging dark eyeliner along your lash-lines. This gives you thicker-looking lash-lines without adding a clumpy load of extra mascara.

20.Whenever you put on makeup make sure it looks like a make-over, not a mask.

21. You don’t have to cake on tons of makeup to look pretty; if you’re pressed for time or you just don’t really feel like doing your normal makeup routine, just put on a little foundation, mascara, and lip-gloss and you’re ready to go!

22. To cover up any imperfections on your face, put on liquid foundation then set it with some face powder. If a blemish is still clearly visible (I don’t mean getting an inch from the mirror to point it out) then use some blemish concealer too.

23. To make your teeth appear whiter, choose a lipstick with blue undertones like cherry red.

24. There’s no need to carry your whole makeup collection with you when you go somewhere; once you perfect your look in the morning, all you need to carry with you is a tissue, face powder, and your lip-gloss. (lipstick and lip stain tend to stay on all day without needing to be applied if you get the good brands)

25. Take good care of your skin! Make sure you eat lots of fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water.

26. It’s OK to take a little extra time for yourself every once in awhile! Studies even show that pampering yourself every now and then puts you in a better mood which will make more people want to be around you.

27. When you put on bronzer, don’t put it on your entire face because it tends to look a little dirty; try high-lighting your cheeks, chin, and forehead instead.

28. Always put on foundation before concealer; if you put on the concealer first and then blend foundation, the foundation will cover up the concealer.

29. If you have a messy, cracked eye shadow don’t throw it away! Pop it out of its tray, then put it in a make-up palette tray and crush it. Add a dab of Vaseline or eye cream until you have the right consistency. And now you have a semi-brand new cream eye shadow!

Health Wealth Tips

Many millions are constantly trying to find ways to improved health. They try new diet pills, and plans. They purchase the latest exercise machines, or sign up at the local health club in hopes of taking off a few pounds and feeling better.

Americans spend about $40 billion each year on diets and drugs to help them lose weight. Maybe you have tried some of the ‘fad diets’ or bought that bottle of pills at the check out counter. How did that work for you?

Most of the products are a waste of money. Some are dangerous! But, I believe the solution is not in the diet, but with the dieter. If you will use some common sense and self-discipline, you can improve you health.

First, you need to understand that the food and drug industry is in business to make money. Any company has to make a profit to stay in business. That’s the way it should be. Please take the time to get online and do your own research about these products. It could be one the reasons you have problems losing weight, and are in poor health.

The Basic Steps

  • Water– You must drink 6 to 8 glasses of pure alkaline water each day. Please don’t substitute colas, tea, juices, sports drinks for water.
  • Diet– Try to eat a good balanced diet of real foods. Fresh veggies, fruits, fresh farm eggs, fresh farm raised meats. Keep a balanced alkaline diet. It is a proven fact that disease cannot live in an alkaline environment. Stay away from fast food places, colas, chips, pastries as much as possible. I know we all stop by our favorite burger or pizza place some time. Just make the visits few and far between.
  • Exercise– Get off the couch and do something. Ride a bike, go for a walk, anything to get your heart rate up and your blood circulating. I use a mini trampoline. Exercise on a regular basis. everyday or every other day, but, keep on a schedule.
  • Attitude– If you believe in yourself, and your abilities, you can accomplish most anything in life. The question is how bad to you want it? It is just a matter of the power of a made up mind. If you think you can you can. You will find a way, if you want it bad enough.

Why Bother Using Skin Beauty Tips

Let me ask you a question. Are you discouraged because it’s so hard to find skin beauty tips which actually work? This is so frustrating it can make you feel that using skin beauty tips isn’t worth the bother. Well, I, personally, refused to give up. I kept looking until I found some information that I could really use to get the results I’d been looking for. Fortunately, I came across some common-sense tips which completely turned the situation around for me. Allow me to share them with you.

Tip #1 – Protect Your Skin From Free Radicals

Excessive sun exposure is the major culprit in the accumulation of damaging free radicals. When these molecules are allowed to multiply, unchecked, you can be sure it won’t be long before you see lines, wrinkles and dull, sagging skin.

You see, these damaging molecules attack your skin cells and destroy their ability to function properly. This means collagen and elastin production comes to a halt. Without plenty of these two structural proteins in your system, the fabric of your skin breaks down and you develop lines, wrinkles and dull, sagging skin.

And it’s just not about ruining your looks. Long term sun exposure can lead to skin cancer.

Protect your skin from free radicals by wearing a hat or using a parasol. I don’t like to suggest people use sunscreen, simply because many of these products are high in synthetic chemicals.

Tip #2 – Boost You Body’s Antioxidant Activity

This is another protective measure you can take to restore the health of your underlying skin cells. This is a simple matter of adding more fresh vegetables and fruit to your diet. Look for those with the brightest colors. The colors indicate the strength of the antioxidant properties. With plenty of antioxidants in your system, free radicals are toast!

Tip #3 – Nourish and Support Your Underlying Cell Structuree

Once you’ve taken steps to stop the damage from free radicals it’s time to treat and heal the normal function of your skin cells. Providing your cells with nourishing, supportive vitamins, minerals, enzymes and fatty acids is the easiest way to restore healthy function. When your cells are up and running again, normal stores of collagen and elastin, hyaluronic acid and new cell growth will be restored.

The latest scientific tests show that bio-active extracts from Nature such as, natural Vitamin E, Co Enzyme Q10, shea butter, sheep wool extract (Cynergy TK), active Manuka honey, babbasu, Japanese sea kelp (phytessence wakame), Maracuja passion fruit extract, and others, provide the nutrients and stimulants necessary to support and maintain normal cell function.

So, why bother using skin beauty tips? Because, when done properly, they can turn things around for the condition of your skin. When you protect and support the underlying cell structure, your body’s natural healing power goes into high gear to produce the substances you need to maintain and young, beautiful complexion.

Skin Beauty Tips

Using the right skin beauty tips can help you increase both your health and your looks, as the two often are related. Only through natural healthy ways do you get long-lasting beauty and true well-being.

Most people will need the help of a moisturizer to have the best possible complexion, because it’s a true challenge to get all the nutrients required o have naturally moist skin.

But when choosing a moisturizer most people don’t even think twice and just go with whatever they saw on a TV commercial. The problem is that those well-known products mostly are filled with chemicals that might make your skin look alright for today but are detrimental in the long-run.

If you are serious about getting and keeping a healthy beautiful face then be sure to look for a completely natural skin care line free of chemical preservatives. That is one of the best skin beauty tips you can follow.

1. Maracuja – Passion from Brazil

This is a passion fruit extract that grows in Brazil. It is very similarly structured as human skin and is rich in nourishing fatty acid. Maracuja gives the skin a velvety smooth feel. The best thing about it though is that it also helps balance the production of oil (sebum) in the skin, so if you have an oily complexion it eases it and if you have a dry one it helps moisturize it naturally.

2. Cynergy TK – for Repairing and Radiance

This ingredient contains Functional Keratin, a substance close to the protein found in the skin. It is proven to be both anti aging – reducing wrinkles and lines, firming, soothing – reducing redness, and moisturizing.

Functional Keratin is a natural substance although it is extracted from sheep’s wool, and through a gentle converting method the beneficial proteins are fully available to help the skin.

It stimulates an increased growth of collagen, elastin and new skin cells, which keep the skin youthful. Last but not least it improves brightness and radiance, promoting a creamy, even complexion.

3. Active Manuka Honey – Antibacterial Healing Power

This is not just any honey, it is the most antibacterial and antioxidant honey known to man. Scientific research shows it increases rejuvenation and gives a youthful glow.

It is also great for healing different kinds of blemishes like acne, eczema and psoriasis. But of course, only in when it is gently cold processed will it keep its active beneficial properties.
